This particular incident in the fight for Civil Rights stands out in my mind because it happened on my birthday. I was nine. The four little girls who died that day were Addie Mae Collins (aged 14), Denise McNair (aged 11), Carole Robertson (aged 14), and Cynthia Wesley (aged 14). Imagine that death is an entity that you can fully sense. Imagine it as a fully-formed being or as a shadow whose presence you can sense or see with a fleeting glance in your peripheral vision. Now imagine that the entity is close to you. It is standing on your left side, parallel to you. As you look ahead, you cannot see its full form. But, you know it is there. As you walk, talk, run, or play throughout the day, death remains no more than an arm's length away - at all times. This is by far the most important reason to pre-plan your funeral before you die. You will know with 100% certainty that your wishes will be carried out. What type of music do you want played at your funeral? Do you want to be buried or cremated? By making these decisions, you can be assured that this is what will take place. After all, if there is an after-life, you want to be satisfied with how the funeral went, right? Maybe the people of the old testament didn't know about eternal life. True, New Testament believers seem more ready to die, but there is Old Testament reference to eternal life and resurrection. Genesis 5: 24. Job 19:25 -26. Isaiah 26:19. Daniel 12:2. Perhaps there is no other time in our lives when our guardian angels are more active or needed than at the moment of our earthly demise. death, the event we always cloak in a shroud of mystery, and fear, eventually comes to all of us. Hiding from it, never speaking about it, or being ignorant of it, does not help us at all. In these cases, they instinctively try to make them aware about their presence, trying to touch them or speak to them, but no one hears their voices or notices their touches. They are cut off from the physical dimension: their conscious (that is, actually, the person) is in another dimension. With the time, the died persons start to feel relief, peace and even happiness. Later, they all experience the tunnel, the white light, the angelic beings, etc. Very often, many of them do not want to return to their bodies. There are many books available about this subject. Following this article is a list of books that were recommended to me by other teachers in the field. It is important that you or the parent read them first before reading any of them to the child to be sure that the book is appropriate for that individual child and is in agreement with the family's beliefs about death. I am not sure if the Nelson's were a part of my invention, or my reinvention. I think both, because I think back when trying to make a decision and remember some of the life lessons I learned back then watching Ozzie, Harriet David and Ricky Nelson on TV. funeral program funeral program informative post
