Because I could not stop for Death, He kindly stopped for me. These are the are the opening lines of a poem by American poet, Emily Dickenson. In fact, Dickenson wrote a number of poems about death, something that caused her to be misunderstood by many of her peers and family members. However, Dickenson knew that death is a part of life and that avoiding the topic, a custom that has long been espoused by much of polite society, did not make Death go away. It is this avoidance and disinterest in talking about death, which keeps many people from choosing to make plans for their funeral and final internment. Jesus died for the sins of the whole world once and for all so that there is no need to use animal blood to the sacrifice. The blood of Jesus Christ can cleanse and purify us from all kinds of sins. In the Old Testament, the Israelites get saved by their works, through obeying and doing the commandments of God. In the New Testament, salvation is open to not just the Israelites but to everyone around the world who put their faith in Jesus. By having faith in Jesus, we can get saved. Decide what to do with the body. Where will the body stay until the funeral service is held? Will the deceased be buried or cremated? If decide on a burial, you will also need to choose a casket. For a cremation, will it be at sea or will you need an urn? You might also be asked to deliver the eulogy. A eulogy is a more formal funeral speech that gives an overview of the person's life, qualities and accomplishments. Again, make sure you know how long you're expected to speak at the funeral, and how many other people will be speaking. It's helpful to sit down with the family, in particular, to gather more information to share. This is why everyone should create a funeral plan. We are all going to die someday. Just as you would plan any important event, a funeral requires very much the same type of planning. You can get a funeral planer from any funeral home if you so desire or you can even have it pre-arranged. It is even possible to pay for it ahead of time. It is a good way to save some money. Often the death card is a spiritual one. It draws attention to an inner battle, or an external situation that requires us to grow and mature in our spiritual selves. Lessons need to be learnt. The death card gives us permission to learn them and offers us an opportunity to undergo a process of letting go mixed with greater inner comprehension. Grief is vital, as it brings us closer to understanding ourselves and to what we want and do not want in our inner and outer worlds. Many people fear that they won't get everything done they wanted to accomplish. There has been books wrote upon and a movie done about The Bucket List. Some worry they haven't completed everything God sent them here to do. So if you have fears of death why not check out what God's word has to say about it. You can draw your own conclusions, and chances are, by the time you're finished you will be finished with your fears of death as well. funeral program funeral program funeral program
